Jobika Privacy Policy

How the Jobika apps collect, use and protect your information

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Jobika is a services marketplace that connects customers with local service providers in Kenya. This policy explains what personal data the Jobika customer app and the Jobika Pro app collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to both apps and our backend services. By using Jobika, you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Jobika (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Jobika platform. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@opus.cloud.or.ke.

Information we collect

How we use your information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Location data important

Provider location is used to power live job tracking. It is collected only while a job is active (en route or in progress) and is visible to the assigned customer for that job. Providers can turn location sharing off from their device at any time; doing so means the customer will not be able to track them. We keep the location trail of a completed job as evidence in case of a dispute.

Data retention

Your rights and choices

These rights are provided in line with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and secure handling of credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

Jobika is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
